Meet David Uhl, Danial James and Mark Brodie at the Uhl Works Booth

David Uhl is possibly the most popular and most appreciable fine artist in the world alive for our biker lifestyle.
In the beginning of 1996, after 20 years of producing drawings for commercial clients, David Uhl entered the world of oil painting. This radically changed everything. Developing his own unique style, he focused his attention around the turn of the century. In 1998 David conceived of a brand new, yet timeless avenue for Harley-Davidson art; museum quality oil paintings. Harley-Davidson, exhibiting nearly a century of history at the time, was the perfect match. David researched motorcycle imagery from the 1930s and ‘40s. This led to his first work; A Change in the Weather. He flew to Milwaukee to present the painting to Harley-Davidson executives. Over a hundred paintings later David feels he is still in the infancy of his painting career.
David’s artwork is displayed throughout the world, and sought by serious art collectors and celebrities alike. Charles Osgood, of CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood, referred to David as “The Norman Rockwell of Harley-Davidson artists”.
David will be painting, and available to meet you, take pictures and sign momentos throughout the rally at the UHL WORKS area the week of the rally.

Danial James Stuckenschneider was born in Cedar Rapids, IA on November 11, 1966. After graduating high school in Iowa, he moved to Colorado to pursue his art career. He applied for, and won, the only full-ride scholarship to the Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design offered to a high school senior in the U.S. He graduated college in 1987 with an Illustration degree.
In 1989, Danial James met David Uhl and joined Uhl Illustration, bringing with him his skill with an airbrush, attention to detail, craftsmanship and an amazing work ethic. In the ensuing years, Danial witnessed first-hand David’s unique approach to illustration, taking a mundane image and transforming it into a compelling work of art. Danial absorbed much of this during that time, applying it to his own work. Danial James and David Uhl became partners and formed Uhl Studios, LLC in 1995.
In the early 1990s Danial took Uhl Illustration into a new realm: digital. He applied the traditional illustration skills to the new tools of computer generated art, becoming one of the premier talents in this sphere. Today, Danial James creates award-winning visual solutions for a wide array of national and international clients. He combines the skill and creativity of traditional illustration with state-of-the-art digital techniques to meet your most demanding image requirements.
His client list includes Harley-Davidson, Federal Express, American Express, Coca-Cola, Coors, Sony, Bosch, Napa, General Motors, IBM, Xerox, Brookstone, Samsonite and many other major companies.
Danial may have created more commercial artwork for the motorcycle industry than any other artist alive today, or any time. Come by and visit with Danial, for signatures on their famous HD pin up tins, apparel and more!

MARK BRODIE is considered “NASCAR’S Celebrity Artist”. Between his custom-built motorcycle designs gracing the covers of magazines like AMERICAN BAGGER, and his work with NASCAR greats Dale Earnhardt Sr., Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Mark Martin, his work can be found everywhere. The fine art which will be displayed at the Lone Star Rally is all one-off. Original. Mark has performed custom work for many of the world’s top bike builders and has also, in ’03, had the privilege and distinction to helm the paint-scheme for logo changes for the WINSTON/NEXTEL changeover with NASCAR.
From old-school pinstriping to in-your-face head-turning paint schemes, Mark is one to see at the Lone Star Rally this year. Come and meet him for a signature or photo, or, pinstripe your bike right there, modifying it from your usual “stocker”, to something personal and custom, right there at his area!
